Does anyone who grew up in the 80s or 90s think that the cartoon HE-MAN.....? had some serious kinky undertones to it?
I think if you look at the characters and themes it was all very fetishised, almost BDSM-type imagery going on there.
I mean for a start Evil Lynn was blatantly modelled on a dominatrix or something www.he-man.org/cartoon/cmotu-pop/…
And you had He-Man parading around in a jock-strap looking very much the gay icon, the way Man-at-Arms was always 'punishing' Teela, the general damsel-in-distress type storylines that seem to feature in a lot of the episodes... I could go on
does anyone agree with me here? , I can't beleive they actually used to show this to us as guys I think someone was having a bit of a laugh with subliminal messages lol | | Vey possible. Many guys movies, shows, and cartoons have always had an adult angle to them. From Betty Boop as a shapely deer to Shrek to Father of the Pride, they may be aimed at guys, but some of goes over their heads to ours. Is this intentional or just how we, as adults, produce and/or interpret guys entertainment is another question. | Know any good bdsm sites? Free ones are great but even just some stories, comics, photos in general in any site.
I prefer it to be cartoon or illistrated of some sort. I don't like the real people photos. | Haven't I've seen this question before?

www.briantarsis.com | When I see steel being ripped apart in a movie or cartoon I become very aroused. Is there a name for this? Don't laugh!!-- Its totally weird and embarrassing! Just the screaching of steel bending makes me extremly aroused. For example: Wonder woman punches through a thick steel door and starts to bend the metal back to forcefully open it. (by this time I about have to leave the room I am so horny)
I had a "crush" on She-Ra and Wonder Woman as a guy so I imagine it has something to do with that. They were always tearing up stuff.
Maybe its a power thing? I don't really like BDSM, its just that sound.... help me!! ha ha :-> | I don't think there is a word for this, the closest I can get is symphorophilia: sexual arousal from disasters, though from what you're describing I don't think that's it.
Edit: It also might be cratophilia: sexual attraction to strength, but again I don't know. | Anyone know any good bdsm art sites, that are free?? I love them, but have yet to find any on the internet that are free. Any sexual comics or cartoons also I like. So any of those too. | sheezyart.com/
www.deviantart.com/ | What do you think of the fact the Black Canary Barbie is makeing a scene? Here is the article.
www.newsarama.com/comics/080718-B…
I am a Christian and personally I find this to be silly. I mean the Canary isn't even dressed that bad and being a guy I have to stop and think is this a toy I would give to my daughter or not. And having read Black Canary comics I find nothing wrong with this toy and would give it to my daughter. the Canary is a great role model. She is this tough chick who can walk to walk with some of the toughest villains. also that look the group is protesting has been her look for the last 10 years and has been used on Small-ville, nobody complained about her than, and in the JLU cartoon she had the same look but with out the stocking and no one complained add the fishnets and all of the sudden it becomes BDSM anybody else think this is stupid. by the way I had a friend who was looked up BDSM on the net, scary dude and the Black Canary looks nothing like that. Why didn't these people complain about wonder women or supergirl. in the JLA cartoon it makes a mention of wonder women's clothing being a bad expamle for little girls witch then causes wonder women to punch out a tv and ask green lantern and flash what is wrong with the way she dress? So now why is it such a big deal with the Canary any thoughts or oppions. also if it were a starfire babrie than no I would not let a little girl have one because her clothing is beyoned inapporiate.

what is your oppion or take on this? is this Barbie inapprotie? any thoughts. would you give a Black Canary Barbie to your daughter? | You know I don't know if I would. I've got 2 daughters , neither of which likes Barbie. But being a dad I do tend to look at the new trends and toy styles to see if they are appropriate for the girls. Fishnets in my opinion are mainly to highlight a woman's legs in which are considered eye candy. I have never known a woman to wear fishnets to a formal gathering, to a workplace or too a funeral, wedding or to visit grandma in the nursing home.
So I do think that I find it a little wrong on a guy's toy, but then again. These dolls are geared towards comic collectors and not really the guys.
The Dallas Cowboy cheerleader Barbie is "awful" as quoted by my 14 year old.
I think these are really aimed towards adults who maybe collected Barbies when younger. Now Mattel is getting into a higher age group of collectors. Nothing really wrong with that. For an 8 year old I'd pass on the Black Canary. | How much about one's self should a minor say on line? I have been here, and there on some sites and discover a whole world of minors who have no problem telling the world about their fetishes.
any parents reading this, would you be horrified or proud if your 13 year old makes a blog post about how they like bondage?
should a 15 year old cry that they cannot upload nude photos of themself on line?
is it wrong to laugh at these guys or want to find "mommy and daddy" and link them to said posts? or should one leave them be, and cheer them on for their bravery and "I don't care what you think" and sit in awe at their ability to "know what they like"?
is it dangerous for a 13 year old to go and be obcessed over cartoon porn? or want to find friends with the same kinks as they have? is it mean to be a "troll" to them? or post links to said websites to the wrong people?
should people that protect guyren like this educate them in their not-smart move?
should people be labeled "sick" for finding such posts, if one made a public post on an artsite, or live journal? seeing how a guy made it and any not-guy reading it is "a bad person"?
is it wrong to satire this somehow?
do you think a 13 yr old telling the internet, for all to see, that they are into BDSM is putting herself at more risk than, one who just says "I love Sonic games and Pixar films" or is the threat of having a pedo try and "snatch them up" the same, or would they really be mature and safe enough not to met up with one, like they would "omg I can hang out with a sonic fan".
Perverted justice's site is broken, always so i cannot ask this there | | It's probably just your friends from PeeJ. They're the ones you go around pretending to be pervy guys online, right? | My extremely long favorite movie and anime list. What's yours? 1. What are your favorite movies, cartoons and anime? (which ever apply)
2. Which movies do you wish they'd remake, and/or which books do you wish would be made into movies?

I wish they'd remake the movies:
Wizard of Oz
The Neverending Story
I wish they'd make these books into movies:
The Sight (David Clement-Davies)
The Abhorsen Trilogy (Garth Nix)
I really want more of these genres/types:
BDSM (serious, like Secretary but more explicit)
Realistic animes
Physcologic thriller animes (like Perfect Blue)
Non-"comedic" teen movies (like Keith)
Good storylines
Well thought out characters
..lol.
I wish I could find animes and movies that were not so typical. It's not that hard to make a character a little more interesting. Instead of a pet dog, can't they have a Figure 8 Puffer? Instead of liking to paint or read, why not like cosplay or studying telekinesis. Maybe a character who is curious about mythological creatures I don't know.
What is this movie:
A nice looking pale blonde goes to Tokyo to.. start a new life? Because of some guy she meets in American? (I am putting questions marks because I am not sure.) She stays with some random girls(?) and works with them at a modern day geisha resturant(?). They all hate her cause she gets more men and money, and a girl even put glass in her soup, and tons of other mean jokes. When a girl goes missing she begins investigating, keeping an artbook diary to bring her closer to knowing what happened. She thinks she has the answer and it puts her in danger.(?) Then at the end the girl that was "missing" turned out to be safe and sound, at the same place the main character believed her to be. dead or whatever. Wow. Hey, I said it was a crappy description. | Ohoho, this is gonna be fuuuuun.

Movies I wish they'd remake:
I think they should remake Robocop. Seriously- the movie is already pretty great as it is, so I know, a remake might ruin it. But imagine what they could do with it with today's technology. Design-wise, it would be pretty amazing, I think.
Books I wish they'd make into movies:
The Barcode Tattoo/The Barcode Rebellion, by Suzanne Weyn
Looking for Alaska, by John Green
Gideon the Cutpurse, by Linda-Buckley Archer
The Alchemist's Cat, by Robin Jarvis
Genres/types I'd like to see more of:
•Like Samurai Champloo, where they combine 19th century Japan with modern-day American elements. Because SC was so brilliant- it had everything. And it all worked so beautifully together. I'd love to see more animes like that :' )
•Stuff like Higurashi- creepy, but with humor. Remember, guys; you can't have slaughter without laughter.
•Like you, characters and plots with more depth to them. Not just: 'Hi, I'm Sakura. I love to read stuff and collect pretty flowers. I have a birdie his name is Gonzo and I love him SO much. I'm also a super-secret karate master. I got an SOS saying the world is in trouble! Oh no! -goes off to defeat some masked villain-'
Yeah, I like stuff that makes you THINK. Thinking is good, no?
•Definitely more psychological thrillers. Definitely. Perhaps with more gore. I don't know why, but gore in live action movies- where they show everything being slashed and contorted and mutilated and whatnot- really bothers me. But anime gore...love the stuff. I guess it's because it doesn't look the least bit real? But it's still gore...I guess I'm just deranged anime-wise, lol.
I love your list of anime, dude. I wish I could have more time to see more ANIMES. I mean, not anime movies that only take up a couple hours, but animes with EPISODES.
I really want to see Claymore, Clannad, Darker than Black, Elfen Lied, Rourouni Kenshin, xxxHolic, Rozen Maiden, and maybe Bleach. But I never seem to get a chance. Either that or Youtube is taking off every damn piece of anime that exists. Do you have any suggestions for me to get around this awful anime barrier I seem to have? D: |
